industry visits post 16
Jade Delaney from Epoch Designs visited our BTEC Creative Media Production students this week to share her knowledge of the advertising industry and also her incredible journey from education to work.
Sharing her message to our young people, she reflected 'it is a competitive world at there so you have to take opportunities and make opportunities too.'
As a previous student of Mrs Weatherson, she is incredibly proud of what Jade has gone on to achieve and was delighted to welcome her to talk to her students.
We also welcomed Eleanor Perryman and Laura Meacham from Silverback films, in Bristol, who delighted our post 16 students with tales from TV productions past and present.
Alistair Gibbons talks to post 16 about his life as a professional editor
Alistair enthralled us with tales of his experiences working in the world of editing and reflected on an experience creating an advert starring Jackie Chan in Hong Kong.
Imogen judd delivers the brief
Imogen, from saintnicks independent agency (based in Bristol), detailed her journey from education to her current position before setting our Year 13 students their final creative brief and then returned to judge their efforts at the end of term.
Susannah streeter sets the scene
Susannah has an impressive biography so far so we were thrilled when we managed to secure her from speakers for schools to present to our students. We packed the lecture theatre with all of Year 10 and our Post 16 students and Susannah did not disappoint. The students listened intently as she described her most exciting moments from her career and inspired our young people.
